Biography
Elisabeth Rainge is Director of IDC's Network and Service Management, Next-Generation OSS and Telecom Billing programs. Ms.Rainge's research and analysis of network and service provider infrastructure management markets examines the challenges and opportunities of the business and technology upheavals that are facing telecom software and network management players. Specific technology areas include carrier to carrier interconnection, provisioning, directory-based management, and policy-based networking as well as management architectures and practices. Ms. Rainge previously covered enterprise network management markets such as network monitoring, SNMP platforms, and networking software technologies for IDC's Network and Service Management program. Prior to that she contributed to IDC's Computer Networking Architectures and PC Connectivity programs. In those capacities she focused on TCP/IP, SNA, Internet connectivity software, and remote access software. Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Rainge was involved in product management, marketing and market research at IDEA in Bedford, MA. Ms. Rainge is frequently quoted in Computerworld, Forbes, The Seattle Times, The Raleigh News and Observer, Network World and InternetWeek. Ms. Rainge holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.
