Following are some of the main findings from the report:

• Worldwide annual shipments of new systems reached 50,900.

• The U.S. market share of agents was 47.1%, followed by EMEA at 29.1% and APAC at 16.1%

• Avaya led in agent shipments in all regions except Canada where Nortel had over 45% of the market.

• Cisco was third worldwide in agent shipments but shipped only 45% as many agents as Nortel and only 19% as many agents as Avaya.
